It Started With One Home and a Vision for Dignity.
Tiny House Homes was born from a simple but radical belief: that every family deserves more than shelter they deserve stability, dignity, and a chance to rebuild. What began as a grassroots effort to house displaced families has grown into a movement that’s reshaping how communities recover, thrive, and rise together.
In the wake of repeated disasters and housing crises, our founders saw a gap between temporary relief and lasting transformation. That gap became our mission: to build ecosystems of support around every home we deploy.
Nigel Salazar spent years in the construction industry, building homes that were functional—but not always transformational. After witnessing the devastation of natural disasters and the slow response to housing needs, he knew something had to change.
Driven by compassion and equipped with technical expertise, Nigel transitioned from builder to visionary nonprofit leader. He assembled a team of architects, social workers, and community organizers to create housing solutions that go beyond shelter—solutions that restore dignity, empower families, and rebuild lives.
